Hotel „Antik“ is the oldest maintained three-floor building in the „Dlouhá“ street, built in the 15th century in gothic style and subsequently reconstructed in baroc and classicistic style. The „Dlouhá“ street (by the way with its 520 m the longest street in the old town-part of Prague) became famous through many breweries, pubs and wine-bars, e.g. the still existing wine-bar „U Krkavcu“ which used to be the favourite place of Karel IV. In the year 1890, Josef Vesely became the owner opening a shoe and leather store. In the same year the recent owner´s family bought the house. They have been managing it since then. Since 1990 you find an antique shop in the basement. The house was completely reconstructed in January 2002 to hotel „Antik“ whose qualities you will hopefully experience personally soon...
